Artist and Song Bio Encouraged by the successful release of their first single, "In Tennessee," Bobby Giles & Texas Gales, in conjunction with Jim VanCleve, producer-performer of "Appalachian Road Show," and Valerie Smith, the owner of Bell Buckle Records, present their second bluegrass single, "Chicken Run." Singer, songwriter, and performer Bobby Giles has had great success with his first release, the album "The Music of Life," scheduled for release in the early Fall of 2022. "As a young boy growing up in Texas, Sunday dinners at the family farm were highly popular. My grandmother, Little Mama, awarded aunts, uncles, cousins, and even some lucky neighbors the best-fried chicken ever made. She was an incredibly adept chicken ring-necker, deliberate and effective. The chicken coup was out by the barn, but lots of those birds would hang around the back door, which, unfortunately, was attached to the kitchen. If we arrived early enough, we would have ringside seats to Carson County's most popular spectator sport starring Maybelle Burns. She'd hit that screen door with a purpose, and brother, the hunt was on!
